Terms of Service

Version 2026-07-03 · Placeholder — pending legal review

These terms govern your access to and use of docuQ. Please read them carefully. See also our Privacy & Data Protection notice and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using docuQ (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using docuQ on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. Description of the Service

docuQ lets you upload documents into knowledge bases and ask questions that are answered with citations traced back to your own content, through the chat application and a developer API. Retrieval and generation rely on third-party AI/GPU processors — see our Privacy & Data Protection notice for details of what is shared and where.

3. Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and API keys, and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at legal@docuq.test if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions, trials & quotas

New accounts start on a free trial. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in Indian Rupees, subject to the knowledge-base, page, and query quotas shown at checkout and in the app. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how billing, failed payments, and cancellation work.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: upload content you do not have the right to process; use the Service to break the law, infringe intellectual property, or violate anyone’s privacy; attempt to circumvent quotas, rate limits, or access controls; reverse-engineer or resell the Service without our written consent; or use the Service to build a competing product from our outputs.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the documents and data you upload ("Your Content"). You grant docuQ a limited licence to process Your Content solely to operate the Service for you — indexing, retrieval, and generating answers. We do not use Your Content to train foundation models, and we do not sell it.

7. Intellectual property

docuQ, its branding, and its underlying software are owned by us or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers that ownership to you; you receive only the right to use the Service as described here.

8. Disclaimers

Answers are generated from Your Content using retrieval-augmented AI models and may still be incomplete or imprecise despite citations; verify anything you rely on for a consequential decision. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, docuQ and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and cancel your subscription in-app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law, after reasonable notice where practicable.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the version date below; continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

12. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have.
